Nomad is the East Bay's hip, new, community-based, earth-friendly arts and internet café. Many evenings (and a few afternoons) bring live music, poetry, storytelling and open mic performances to the Nomad stage. Come see local artists' work on display, or watch them in action painting the "community canvas" that occupies the stage wall. Our "Kids' Corner" is a favorite among parents seeking a coffee break while their children build Lego towers or read picture books, lounging on colorful pillows and a soft, hand-woven rug (nomadic Gabbeh, naturally). The Nomad features indoor and outdoor seating. Premises are wheelchair-accessible.
