Ravenshaw University College, Cuttack

My dream college when i was young. Miss you Ravenshaw and my lovely Cuttack.

It is the best college in Orissa.During 1975-77 i studied here.Made great friends.Prof M.K.Rout was a fantastic principal.People were scared of even walking on the grass quadrangles!!!!!!!!!.I still remember the inaugration of the lbrary building by Nandini Sathpathy.Cant remember the names of the teachers but they were a dedicated lot.

i m student of ravenshaw college. i finished my best of 5years youth in Ravenshaw college i love my college. i finished my B.com in year 2004.

I studied here from 1978 to 1983. I graduated in Economics Honours from this college under Utkal University in the year 1983. I owe my everything to this college. I stayed in East Hostel althroughout. During those five years, Dr. M.K.Rout,Dr.K.M.Patnaik, Major Batakrishna Mohanty & Dr. K.K. Patnaik served as Principals at different times.I did Intermediate Arts (1978-1980), B.Com. Accountancy Hons. (1980-1981) & finally B.A. Economics Hons. (1981-1983)in this college.I had written most of my poetry while sdudying here.

I very fondly remember my days in Ravenshaw College.

Most of the members of my own & extended family studied here.

My uncle Dr. Adwait Kumar Mohanty was a teacher in Economics at that time. I was inspired by the depth of his knowledge on the subject. Later he left for United States where he did his A.M. & Ph.D in Economics from University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.After returning from States he worked as the Professor & Head of the Post Graduate Department of Analytical & Applied Economics, Utkal University,Bhubaneswar.He also headed the famous RBI Chair on Research.

After a brief stint as Research Economist at Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) at RAW Headquarters, Cabinet Secretariate, Govt. of India, New Delhi, I returned to my home state.Prior to it, I was associated with many organisations in & outside Orissa in different capacities. I all along evinced keen interest in teaching Economics & Management. I practiced Law as a free lancer partnering my fellow advocate friends.

Presently, I am working in Computer Systems Department of Coal India Limited and have been posted at Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited, a subsidiary of CIL.

This is my home town n my college Revenshaw college, Proud to be a Ravenshian...

i love my college but i m not going college

i really miss my college.i graduated in the year 2004.i did my b.com from ravenshaw.i stayed at daya hostel.i really miss those days.the masti and each and every moment spent thr.

my self himanshu from economics departement .myself completed my pg in economics in 2007. i spend almost 7 yearin ravenshaw .it's a memorable quality time that ispend in my life .i love my college very most. i am missing my hostel new-pg ,eastand new hostel very much

Ravenshaw College is located in Cuttack, India. The college was established in 1878 for Thomas Edward Ravenshaw, a descendant of William Withers. Thomas and his wife, Mary Susannah Symonds Ravenshaw, were residents of India and were successful in the Indian Political Service.
Dept. of I.S.T. in Ravenshaw University is the first of its kind in India.
It is the most disciplined dept. in the whole of the University..
