TIMES OF INDIA NEWS- HYDERABAD: 22-02-2006 :- After Monday's record-shattering bid for a six-acre tract of commercial land at Jubilee Hills, it was turn of bidders for residential land in the colony to offer sky-high prices on Tuesday.
A plot at Nandagiri Hills in Jubilee Hills was sold off at the rate of Rs 80,000 per square yard the highest price ever paid during an auction conducted by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (Huda)
The vastu-perfect east-facing plot (No 11 and measuring 359 sq yard) was purchased by one B Kiran Prasad for Rs 2.88 crore (@ 80,000 per sq yard). The second highest price came for another plot (No 7) at Rs 64,000 per sq yard.
A total of 40 plots were put on the auctioneer's block and in all, Huda raked in close to Rs 70 crore through the sale of plots at Nandagiri Hills that went on till late in the evening.
