The abandoned Botanic Gardens Station platforms lies underneath, and are still visible through the ventilation shafts here. It's part of the Glasgow Central Low-Level Railway that was closed during the Beeching Axes of the 1960s. There are calls to reinstate it for use by the Glasgow Subway.
Directly to the West is Kirklee Station, and to the East is Kelvinbridge Railway Station
