The Province Building



Constructed in 1908-09 to house the 'News-Advertiser',
the first newspaper printed on electric press in Canada,
for publisher & politician Francis Carter-Cotton.
In 1923 the building was purchased by the Daily Province,
the name of building now.
Designed by architect A. Arthur Cox in Edwardian neoclassical style,
now renamed as Edgett Building,
nice proportion of brick and sandstone,
the building stands at the corner as a calm intellectual,
now house the B.C. Architectural Office.
