is the fete still on? i remember out principal mr. hicks banned it since us young hearts had turned 'abusive' towards girls from pratt memorial who used to visit our school fete. this was in the 1950s.

I am of ISC 88 batch. The alma mater and its alumni r always worth associating with, Kaushik. HI RALLY ADAMSON! How r u? How's kaku? Lost touch, bro. If u travel to Orkut u will find my profile and email. Keep in touch bro. Whoever it was who spelled "school" as 'skul' must have had a little less of CBS in him than most of us! CBS may not be what it was under Mr. Hicks and Mr. Martin, but hey, its the only school that I knew! Whatever I am today, its because of CBS. Hail Alma mater and so on.

the worst schhol i have ever studied in.....my school days were filled with agony.throughout my school life i waited for the time when will i leave this idiotic institution.the management is corrupt only knowing how to fill their pockets with money.....seems like a corporation school from outside.now the principal has banned ties and hence students look like paragay boys.however my college life rocks and it has filles the gaps which cbs couldnt.the plus 2 teachers suck and are totally ignorant about the subject.i request parents never to get their wards admitted here because their school days will be the saddest part in their life as is mine.

Retain incredible memories of my alma mater. Joined the school and hostel in Class 1. Was significantly influenced by Mr Hicks and his leadership style. It was in the hostel that we learnt how to take responsibility for oneself. The school environment was the perfect blend of 'high learning and simple living'. The mileu being of middle class backgrounds, the focus was here on Character Building. This site evoked some very nostalgic memories. Life in the boarding school and then as a day scholar.

we are known as the cbs 70 batch. probably the most successful batch in the history of the school. we owe our every inch of success in life to our revered principal Mr Clifford Hicks, without him probably we would have been nowhere. What fond memories of the school we carry along, as we pass every day in our lives.

This is my school+it's GREAT.I love it and as I'm in only class five I've a lot of time and years to enjoy the greatest school in Kolkata. The new Principal Mr.Raja Mcgee has changed the whole atmosphere of the school along with the monogram and the boys are really happy with this change.

My son has started going to this school, seems to be very standard and Disciplined school.
Hope my son will enjoy his schooling throughout
Regards.

This is the most wonderful school I have ever studied and have ever come across. I passed out ISC in 1987 after studying for 13 years without any break.
However, I could not admit my son in this school. The then Principal did not consider him fit, although he was considered fit by another renowned school. The route I followed was straight and transparent. This is ironically, what I learned from CBS and am trying to impart the same to my son.

Passed out +2 in 1979. This school was the best thing that happened to me till now. Was in the hostel - in the glory days of Clifford Hicks. Guess such people come once in a generation! Many have different to things to say but I hold my days in that institution up there!

I think in our times it was one of the best school around. I passed out in 1988. Not only did our batch and the ones before that excel in academics, there was a lot of extra-curricular activities going on now and then. I think the school was the place were I got to learn everything. Sometimes, I feel in my dreams going back to my school and sitting in the classrooms and listening to those splendid lectures, be it on maths, english or science. I am currently posted out of calcutta but next time I visit calcutta I will make it a point to visit my school even if it is for a very short duration. Hail alma mater!!!!!!!
