Bellevue Palace - Residence of the Federal President

Bellevue Palace (German: Schloss Bellevue) is a château north of the Tiergarten park in Berlin. It is the residence of the German Federal President (German: Bundespräsident). The current Federal President is Horst Köhler.

Bellevue Palace underwent reconstruction until end of 2005; the president used Schloss Charlottenburg for representative purposes during this period. It became his primary residence again at the start of 2006.

The palace was erected by Prince Ferdinand of Prussia, the younger brother of King Friedrich II of Prussia, in 1786. It served as the official residence of the Crown Prince of Germany until 1918.
