I grew up here and love this beach. It is smaller and less frequented than McCook's. It is not exactly a typical rocky New England beach as the sand here is fabulous, surrounded by cliffs and a rock jetty. Don't expect anything but peace and quiet until the trains go by above the beach - just know how much those passengers envy you being there! You can walk from there over to McCook's, another fabulous view of the Bay and views of closeby islands. It is easy access from the town via Route 156 and you can easily walk up to the road and spend some time in a quaint New England town. Wonderful pizza abounds as well as theaters and shops of all kinds. Enjoy!
