Prominant center of the Black Nationalist movement in Oakland in 1971,it is gone now. Linked to the murder of a prominent newsman Chauncey Bailey in Oakland in August 2007/ A worker believed to have committed the murder to hide evidence of the bakery's financial troubles, which resulted in a massive police raid, largs scale arrests and finally Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
