Rishi Arabinda Nagar



Rishi Arabinda Nagar is one of the few colonies sandwiched between Dhandabug and Amrai villages of Durgapur. The area was earlier agricultural lands and owned by some local landlords. Due to rapid urbanization in the early 1980s, these aricultural lands were sold out as small residential plots to the individuals. As a result, the new colony had established in 1983. Peoples mainily from service sectors and business are living in this colony. At present with more than 250 residences, Rishi Arabinda Nagar organizes Durgapuja, Kalipuja and other cultural programme round the year with much enthusiasm.
