Coal Mines owned by South Eastern coalfields Ltd., and Govt. of India Undertaking named as Korba Area. One of the oldest coalfields in India. The area is situated adjusent to Korba Town Ship having colonies named Shahid Bhagat Singh Colony, Subhash Block, J.P. Nagar. The Korba Colliery Town shop has population of around 1 lakh.
