The CANAL movable bridge--first built by the Reading Railroad--bridges the Cape May Canal, part of the inter-costal waterway. The bridge was re-habilitated by the Cape-May Seashore Lines for restored passenger service back to Cape May city. It is currently out of service due to a lightning strike.
