Originally opened in 1978 as the MGM Grand, it was at the time, one of the worlds largest casinos. The property was sold to Bally Gaming and was renamed to Ballys. The property then was acquired by Hilton Hotels in 1992 and subsequently renamed again. The property was again purchased by Ceasars Entertainment in 2005 and was in turn sold to private investors looking to create a more "Las Vegas" styled resort hotel in Reno. | ||||
