High Street Baptist Church was formed in 1936, at the corner of High St. and Prospect St. in Springfield, Missouri. With 90 charter members, we began the work of ministry for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We now actively seek to maintain regular involvement in our community by supporting marriage, helping children learn to read through reading programs, instilling timeless values through our Youth Athletics programs and teaching timeless truths through our Bible Classes for adults and children.
In 1978 the building on North Eastgate was completed and our worship and meetings moved to our current location. Today, we are excited to host a Youth Athletics program that is allowing us to reach those in our community.
We helped the formation Baptist Bible College in 1950 by providing classroom space for the school in our facility. High Street has been associated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship International since its inception and is a supporter of many BBFI missionaries.Since the time we were established, we have seen over 35 missionary families sent out from our church to the foreign field.
