  • I Have completed my B.Com in 2003 from this is college. Sri Sharada College is a one of the best college in Mangalore University. We have studied under great professors and lecturers like Mr. Ganapayya Shetty, Mr. Kurian, Mr. Vasudeva Rao, Mr. Jagadish, Mr. Radhakrishna, Mr. Cherian, Mr. Jois, Mr. Bhaskar Shetty Mrs. Leela Mani and many others. Mr. Kumar Swamy (head of library) gave full support to every one those are thirsty of knowledge. We have a very good library, good indoor statdium and good ground. very support from Mr. Kumar Swamy librarian. Students of B.Com 2003 batch are Vijayendra (myself) Santhosh, Shanji Varghese, Krishna Raj, Vishwanath, Ronald Pradeep, Navish, Prashant Putran, Ramesh, Rajesh Shetty, Prashant Jogi, Uday, Sandeep Shetty, Vishnumurthy, Santhosh Kandlooru, Damodar, Gurudev, Noor Mahammod, Najir, Anand Prbhu from boys and girls are Anusha, Suma, Sowmya, Geeta, Savita, Shailaja, Roopa, Deepa, Narayani, Suprita, Sangeeta, Swapna. We all were friendly nature. There was a unique unity in our class in our three year study. We have enjoyed very much in three years of college life. We have traveled several places together for college tour like Beluru, Halebidu, Datta Peeta, Shringeri, Horanadu, Kalasa, Kudremuka, one day went to Koodlu waterfall and many more. We have participated in several personal functions like Gruhapravesham of Kitti. Brief about our college Sri Sharada College, Basrur, Udupi District is an esteemed Institution of Higher learning; affiliated to Mangalore University. The college was founded by Sri Sharada College trust(Regd.), Basrur in 1972, to meet the demands of rural youth for higher education. Since then it has been striving to empower the economically less fortunate and socially marginalised sections of society with knowledge and skills required to face the challenges of modern world. The founders of the college also believe that no education is worth the name, if the instructions in various disciplines are not accompanied by proper shaping of character. A sense of disciplined purpose, cultivation of proper attitudes and awareness of various responsibilities; which the young would be called upon to shoulder, when they step into life are some of the values which the students should learn along with their academic subjects.
