This is the house of Mestre Caetano Maria Barbosa, the author of a Konkani book, "Ojeapancho Ghutt", (published 1941) and Joanita Dias. It is also the home of Linda Cardoso, the fictional character in the Canadian/Goan novel, "The Sixth Night" which originates in Goa and ends in Canada, by author Silviano C. Barbosa, published in 2004, and who also authored the lyrics and produced a sold-out Konkani CD/cassette, "Classic Goa" in 1999. Prof. Anthony Barbosa published his thesis for his Ph.D. in Physics from University of Bombay in May of 1991- "Study of Magnetic and crystalline electric field effects on the transport properties of mix-valent systems."
