Terminal 1 - Qantas & Jetstar Domestic

Terminal 1 is more commonly known as the "Qantas Terminal" in so far as it is owned and operated by Qantas Airways. It was originally built for carrier TAA, which then became Australian Airlines, and absorbed by Qantas in 1993. It was extensively renovated in the late 1990s and almost doubled in size, allowing Qantas to construct Pier B for future expansion plans. Today it bases it's domestic operations out of the terminal, and also provides check in and gates for it's wholly owned Jetstar and QantasLink subsidiaries.
