After a decade of plans for this site, this theater is scheduled for demolition to make room for a large shopping center called "The Landing" to include Best Buy, Marshalls, Michaels, Bed Bath and Beyond, and 20+ screen Century movie theater. The center will include about 45 to 50 tenants. Final approval for this project was given by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in April 2008. Construction is scheduled for Fall 2008 with the grand opening expected Spring 2010.
