Nimapada (also spelt as Nimapara or Nimaparha) is a town and a notified area committee in Puri district on the way to Konark and 40 km from the state capital Bhubaneswar in the Indian state of Orissa.

The city is famous for sweet dish 'chhena jhili'.

  • I studied from class IV to class XI in Nimapada High School and passed H.S.C in the year 1966. Late Padmanav Mohapatra was our Headmaster. Late Brajamohan Mohanty,Late Jogindra Swain,Late Sugriba Pradhan,Late Harihar Rath, Late Brundaban Acharya, Late Damodar Das, LateMadhusudan Mishra, Late Prananath Mohapattra. Srijukta Natabar Das, Shri Purna Chandra Dash and others were our beloved teachers.I offer my hearts gratitude to them. S/S Brajabandhu Mohanty, Bhramarabara Behera, Hatakishore Sethy, Laxminarayan Tripathy, Laxidhar Patra, Baidhar Sabut, Kashinatha Sahoo, and others were my class-mates. I pray for their wellbeing. Shrijukta Bhabani Charan Patnaik, Late Purna Chandra Sahoo, Late Govinda Chandra Sethy, Late Padma Charan Samantasinghar were the personalities who shaped shaped Nimapada .I offer my respectful regards to them. My native village Alipingal and Nimapada witnessed my childhood and built the foundation of my future manhood. I am earnestly grateful to Nimapada and request all inhabitants of Nimapda to put their concerted efforts to develop the town to a beautiful city of tomorrow.
  • My memory is going back to 1953 to 1957 when I was a student in Nimapara High School and the Headmaster was P. N. Mohapatra. I appreciate Deenbandhu Sahoo's feelings towards the School and the teachers. I recognize Harihar Rath, Brundaban Acharya and others. I think they were great people & great teachers. Standing first in common Gr. 7 examination in another centre, I joined the School and maintained first position during four years of high school. Thanks to the Principal. This education helped me to maintain first position in vet. medicine during all four years and also in Grad Schools abroad. Having good and gifted teachers does help a lot. B.Nayak, Ph.D.
