Uttar Koparde is newly developed the small village of 900 population. Datta Mandir is the place by which the village name announced was Dattanagar but later it is chaged as Uttar Koparde. Because every human being should never forget their origin. The village Uttar Koparde is besides on two sides of state road to Khandala nearly 8km away form tahsil of Karad. It's very close to Sahyadri Sugar Factory which is contributed a lot to develop the whole area and it's founded by late Mr. Yashwantrao Chavan, first CM of Maharashtra. The peoples are educated and well settled. Datta Mandir is situated on Mahadev Donger by Mr. Sonar Appa. It's said that there is tunnel(bhuyar)from the main mandir to Shahapur Hanuman Mandir which is out of 11 by Ramdas Swami. You will catch thousand of acres of greenry farm area from the Mandir. River Krishna cool your eyes and city Karad with huge building, water tanks will prove that we are not away from the world. The ever happiness is that our native god Sidhanath Temple and it's wings looks so marvelous; kiss the sky always say us to keep your village on the top by all means. Uttar Koparde is the fast developing village and will grow steadily even though their is limit for the housing area. There is Parayan Saptah on 18th May at Datta Mandir. Also Rashtriya Yuva Function takes place on 12th Jan. The villagers arrange and celebrate Datta Jayanti in a huge way. In large number people visit there whole day of occassion. By road side and close to Panchayat office Maruti Mandir is there.
Farmers grow all types of crops by the season like Sugarcane, Tomato, groundnuts, wheat, rice, banana,papaya, flowers etc., but sugarcane is the main income source. Milk production is the main side business which complete their daily needs.
Shirwade Railway Station is 1km away & all local trains take halt there. Koyana Express departures from Mumbai - the economic capital of India also takes 1 minute halt at Shirwade Station. There is increase in the number of youngsters to visit and settle in metropolitian cities like Mumbai, Pune. And we hope that they will guide youngsters and will support our village in progres by anyway.
