Bagh ki Bheer (The well of the Garden) and Siddi Masjid, Near Balapur District Akola Maharashtra

The history of Balapur says that it was an important military garrison. The Bagh ki bheer around 7 km from the town centre used to be the cantonment. The bheer is a huge foot-well with lot of water. The land now belongs to the Deshpandes who inherited this from one of their uncles who was the Deshpande as well as the guardian. He converted to Islam and is buried here. The small beautiful mosque is visited by sensitive people and is in good condition but requires restoration.
