This junction of 4 roads is called 'Naduppandi' also called 'Nalumkoodiyaidam'. According to history Sakthan Thampuran, the king allotted the area to malankara christians who constructed a lay out in the form of a cross and named each street as east, west south and north bazars. Naduppanthi is at the centre of these streets.
