Strathfield Park is one of the oldest parks in Strathfield and is ideal for large community functions. The park is also popular due to its children's playground facilities situated within close proximity to seating and BBQ areas. It is also the site of the newly completed Equal Access Playground (located on the Chalmers Rd side)providing recreation opportunities for children with disabilities.

The layout is such that it offers the visitor a unique and diverse number of recreational opportunities, from structured sport to more private areas ideal for family picnics.
