Ironbridge
Ironbridge

Ironbridge is a settlement beside the River Severn, at the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire, England. It lies in the parish of The Gorge, in the borough of Telford and Wrekin. The village grew up beside, and takes its name from the famous Iron Bridge, a 30 metre (100 foot) cast iron bridge that was built across the river there in 1779.
Ironbridge is a village which has developed around the famous "Ironbidge" which was built by Thomas Telford for the nearby mining town of Coalbrookdale in 1779.

It was the first bridge in the world to be built out of iron and the area around it is said to be the "Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution". It is a UNESCO world heritage site and a popular tourist destination.

This was a dirty place in early timed due to many factories but it's fascinating about the Iron Bridge which was built in 1779. It has been marked as a museum town.
