Husky Energy - Lloydminster Refinery

This refinery is Canada's largest asphalt supplier, processing 27,000 barrels of heavy crude oil per day to produce asphalt. Unusual for a refinery, Lloydminster produces no gasoline or diesel. Instead, the light distillate products are mixed with heavy crude so it will flow easier in pipelines, while so-called gas oils are sent to Husky's Lloydminster Upgrader to be processed into synthetic crude oil.
