My parents purchased the model home from the builder, Alan Rose, and the family moved there in 1959. My mother lived there until 1972.

Alan Rose also developed Windmill Farms in Armonk, NY. His concept for these developments was that the homes should each look individually sited and fit into the existing landscape as gracefully as possible. Therefore, his construction people destroyed as few trees as possible. The result was that from the beginning, our community had the appearance of an established community rather than one which had just been developed. Homeowners could join a small beach/boat club at the Eastchester entrance from Caslifornia Road.
