This temple has history of more than 500 years. this temple is built by penetrating the Namakkal Fort.
Namakkal Narasimha Temple at Namakkal: The cave temples here have mammoth images of Narasimha and some of the other incarnations of Vishnu, besides an image of Ranganathar in a reclining posture. The fort contains a small temple dedicated to Vishnu. There is also a colossal statue of Hanuman (Anjaneya) in this temple.
