Brief History of Rishi Thakur Das Ji Maharaj

The birth of Rishi Thakur Das Ji Maharaj occurred in the house of father Sahib Dayal Ji and mother Isri Ji, on 12 Katak 1942 at village Shah Pur (GT. Road) Tehsil Phillaur, Dist. Jalandhar (Punjab) India.

Guru Ji was more inclined to spirituality and Godly power since his very childhood. His grandfather and metrnal Grandfather namely Saint Kahan Dass and Saint Sewa Dass had also the high quality of the saints. Saint Thakur Das was named by them. According to them, this boy while growing would get familiarly in his spirituality power and also the name of his family would be decorated by his services to society. The primary education of Saint Thakur Das Ji was under the guidelines of his maternal grandfather Saint Sewa Das Ji. By birth in religious environment/influence, the tendency of Saint Thakur Das was inclined towards Gurbani. It is necessary to think here about this person who can be a saint in future when a person reads in the hyme of Gurbani.
