Fröttmaning U-Bahn station

Fröttmaning station on the Munich U-Bahn is served by the 4-tracked U6 line. The station has 2 island platforms under a modern curved canopy. The surrounding area is not very residential (the original village of Fröttmaning was obliterated by the autobahns, save for its church) but is home to the Allianz Arena, meaning that the station often gets very busy on match days.

The original station was opened in 1994 and it was rebuilt between 2004-5 for the Arena. The station serves as a park and ride for central Munich with a large multi-storey car-park and also a train depot.
