This Company was inaugurated by our first PM,Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru in 1956.Along with the Atul complex was also founded Shri Nootan Kelvani Mandal,Valsad, under the Chairmanship of Shri Morarji Desai,our former PM.Mr.B.K.Majumdar & Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai were the pioneers of this chemical complex as well as the educational complex at Valsad.

Zero discharge concepts has been adopted at Atul based on the principle of
recycle, reuse and reduce. Our concentrated efforts under this project
yielded massive reduction in overall water consumption apart from awareness
amongst all how to conserve resources effectively.
