Al-haaj Marhoom Peer Mohammad Maqbool, religious scholar,Ex.joint Registrar cooperative and Chairman of Rafaii Aam Social Welfare trust(R) expired on 24th Moharram-ul-Haram,1406( 13 febuary 2007). He was the pious,sincere,honest and loving person ,working for the betterment of the religion and society. He used his govt job to help people all over the state and his religion to upgrade the society.He was in touch with many religious scholars and saints throughout his life, including Marhoom Syed Mir Mohammad Abdullah Qadri(RA,Astan Aaliya Rahbab sahib ,Aali kadal, Srinagar, and Marhoom Moulana Qasim shah Bukhari(RA),Head Anjuman tabligul Islam,Marhum Moulana Syed Ah Tarazi Madani, Madina Munawara. He Wrote many books incl Sharaful-Zikr(Mouloud Rasool(SAW), Shane Noore Mohammadi(SAW),Muarake Badr. etc, and before he left for heavenly abode, his did his First and Last HAJ alongwith his wife( In a state of Illness).
