Former berthing location of the Rochester Fast Ferry

After false starts and financial travails as a Private effort, followed by Rochester City lossses, Rochester sold the Fast Ferry and it departed Rochester in April 2007.
"04/19/07 (Rochester, NY) Mayor Robert J. Duffy today announced that the City has closed on the deal to sell the fast ferry to Forde Reederei Seetouristik Gmbh & Co. KG (FRS), a German company with various shipping and ferry interests, for the sum of $30 million. The title has been transferred and the funds have been received,"

Mainly because of attitudes like that. Kind of like the opposite of "fake it til you make it." In my opinion (and I've lived her 32 years...my whole life), too many Rochester people are bitter, cynical folks whose main joy comes from complaining about how little there is to do here, and then trashing every new thing that we get, thereby ruining it for everyone. Thanks a lot, folks.
