Kopachuck Middle School

One of four middle schools in the Peninsula School District, Kopachuck Middle School services the Artondale, Fox Island, Raft Island, Rosedale, and Horsehead Bay areas and is the middle school into which Voyager Elementary School (across the street) and Artondale Elementary School feed. Kopachuck Middle School along with Goodman Middle School, feed into Gig Harbor High School. The school's mascot is the coyote.

Kopachuck Middle School, is named for its location in the Kopachuck area. Derived from Chinook Jargon, "Kopachuck" literally means "at water".
