Its flanked by bhojudih and Rukni stations and of late the platforms have been renovated...nearest division is Adra around 15-16 km away

i stay quite close to this place at Bhojudih coal Washery quarters.
Even though there is a coal washery and a thermal power plant the area is largely under developed..Its high time some of the trickle down benefits of India's economic progress reaches places far flung from the metros..I wonder what stops the govt to build necessary infrastructure and create new SEZs in these barren lands of Purulia which can easily avert the kind of socio economic problems of Singur

you are correct.did u study in stp high school?if so which batch.and your English is undoubtedly very polished.Please add a few comments in the other tagged areas as it would be good for the outsiders.

I tried my best to furnish informations as far as i could gather.It would be great if you come up with a few more interesting places in and around the stps township and the washery and tell us something about their speciality.I stayed in stps from 1987 to 2006.And to be truthful,i have not seen a more beautiful place till now.So please try to discover new places and interesting facts to make the place more and more attractive .
