Willie Brown Nature Preserve

An old Florida "cracker" named Willie Brown lived on this huge family homestead until the mid 20th century, in a small un-airconditioned shack. When he died, he deeded the land to the city of Jacksonville, with the stipulation that it never be developed.

The Preserve's nature trails connect to the adjactent Fort Caroline Monument.
