Shantikishan Apts. - Suhas Mehta's Home (Mumbai Suburban District)

History:

This private apartment homes were built in early 1970's and is a home to ~100 families. At one point in time we were surrounded by 4 hospitals within 500 ft. radius.

Festivals:

1. Navratri: Up until early 1990s We were the palce "To Go" for Navratri, but later due to the hospitals in the vicinity we were forced to tone down our celebrations, which slowly took away our shine and pride.

Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table-Tennis, Lakhoti, Lagori, Saliya-Dav and so many more sports we played here for so many years. From rough tussles to Mango picking to breaking window glasses during Cricket games to gardening in our backyard. There is so much this piece of earth has given me and several others who stay(ed) here.
