| Edgware Road Tube Station (Hammersmith & City, Circle and District Lines) The southerly station is in the open and serves the cut and cover routes of the Hammersmith & City, Circle and District Lines. Edgware Road is a terminus for the District Line service to Wimbledon station, and is between Baker Street and Paddington station on the Hammersmith & City and the Circle Lines. It is located on the corner of Chapel Street and Cabbell Street. This station was part of the world's first underground railway when it was opened as part of the Metropolitan Railway between Paddington and Farringdon on 1 October 1863. On 7 July 2005 a bomb exploded on a Circle line train leaving Edgware Road west bound for Paddington station which killed 7 people including the bomber, now believed to have been Mohammad Sidique Khan.
