Swami Poornananda, one of the greatest saints of recent times who walked the earth, attained Mahasamadhi in 2000 April. His Adhistana/Samadhi is present in ashram in Sunnipenta. It is a very holy place indeed. The nearby hatakeswaram also has the ashram of Swamiji when Swamiji first came to Srisailam in early 70s.

sunnipenta is very excellent place, it is having thick forest(Nallamala),River(Krishna rever),Hydroelectric Projects which is precious one and holy place of lord Mallikarjuna swmyand Bramaramba devi temples.Here Istakameswritemple in the forest.,she gives blessings to every one.Excellent scenary.And soooooooooo.
