Aana Paraa(Elephant Rock) Maalavana Para

Seems like an elephant in water. It is part of a rock chain connecting two temples on either side of the river. The location is close to the meeting place of the rivers Periyar and Chalakudiyar. Considered to be a very holy place for hindus.Heaviest of floods couldnot drown or move the rock parts, some of them looking very loosly balanced. (The photo uploaded by Sabu Padayatty, Malavana)
