Bhilai Steel Plant
Bhilai Steel plant is one of the largest integrated steel plants in India. It has an installed capacity of more than 4 Million tonnes of crude steel per year and covers an area of about 36 sq. kms.
It was built with Russian collaboration.
The Managing Director of the plant is Mr. Ragavachari Ramaraju.

i spent my childhood in bhilai during the mid sixties and i still miss the place and its people....recall the gaylords hotel,Civic Centre,Maroda tank and the sunken garden We lived in 32 bungalows,bungalow no.19 and could see the bhilai hospital which was the largest hospital in those days in and around bhilai,durg. | ||||

I am Prakash abraham,born and bought up in bhilai.I love this place very much.I was much attached to its decent places.I miss its steel plant,civic centre. I use to live in hudco colony but now I am in riyadh,saudi arabia.I really miss its famous eatables like gup chup(pani puri) and chaat.when ever myself and family go for vaccation first day itself we go to eat this items.I LOVE BHILAI VERY MUCH. | ||||
