Tiruvallur is an ancient town which was earlier called as ThiruEvvulur meaning the place where God(thiru) stays(evvulur).
There are many temples in and around thiruvallur. The major ones are Lord Veeraraghava Temple and Panchamuga Anchaneya Temple which has 40ft tall panchamuga anchaneya swamy.
