The Xisha Islands is a Chinese territory. The earlies record of China's control on this territory dates back to Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.) The South Vietnam also claimed its property on this territory, and the dispute between China and South Vietnam resulted into an armed conflict on January 19, 1974. After the Vietnamese lost that conflict, China has established its firm and permanent control. | ||||
