Marked INCORRECTLY on Google Maps these two L-shaped apartment buildings (together with car parking and green space constitute Ballycasey Crescent. Until recently streets in Shannon were not generally named (or at least their names were either not known or not used. In common with many places in the Republic of Ireland, the names of housing estates are more commonly used than street names (causing something of a problem for Google Maps/Earth MS Virtual Earth etc. and especially their directions.

Also, the name "Ballycasey" has been overused by the County and Town Councils for areas outside the townlands of Ballycasey More (More=big) and Ballycasey Beg (Beg-small). Ballycasey Crescent is actually in the townland of Smithstown, which people would generally associate with the industrial/commercial area on the north side of Bothar Mor (literally "Big Road"), which used to be the main road into Shannon until the recent dual carriageway was built.
