  • BRIEF DETAILS AKALTARA EDUCATION TRUST AKALTARA The institute was established in 1954 by 15 social workers of Akaltara village with a aim to provide the quality education to the students of the village as well as to the students of nearby area .The aim of the formation of the institute was also to boost the cultural and other welfare activity in the area. Starting of school Just after the formation of the institute a Higher Secondary School was started in the village under the banner of Akaltara High School as there was no high school in the village. Present status of the school To pay the honor to the founder president of the institute and the main donor Shri Rajendra Kumar singh the the school has been named as Rajendra Kumar Singh Higher Secondary School which now having the schooling in Arts Commerce Science And Computer Science . To facilitate the students of the villages Primary section in both Hindi and English Medium has been started about 8 years ago with the transport facility and now this primary section is having a strength of more than 400 students. Just to give the training to the ladies of weaker section a stitching training center is also being managed by the Akaltara Education Trust in minimum fee and is providing the stitching machine on donation basis to the needy students after completion of training so that they can generate income through that. This school is the only Higher Secondary School in Janjgir Champa district which is having Arts Commerce Science and Computer Section along with NSS NCC JRC Scout & Guide Section and in which not single case of copying has been registered during the examination in last 55 years though the Janjgir Champa district has its bad name in the field of Copying. To recognize the outstanding contribution in field of education the institute AKALTARA EDUCATION TRUST has been awarded with the prestigious AKHIL BHARTIYA MAHARAJA AGRASEN SAMMAN by the state government in the year of 2007
