Indian Institute of Technology Madras, is one among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research. The Institute was formally inaugurated in 1959 by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific Research and Cultural Affairs. The Institute has fifteen academic departments and a few advanced research centres in various disciplines of engineering and pure sciences, with nearly 100 laboratories organised in a unique pattern of functioning.

IIT Madras is obviously one of the best place to study in india. It has no bias towards any religion, language, or student's origin.
Sure -there are equal & better institutes around.

This institute also has lot of wild-life animals like Deers (Sarang), and birds living a natural life.

This site should be a place to know about the location. Please dont debate here.

We all live in a country ,which has a great culture and tradition ,as young souls of this country we should respect and value it.we the people in india are divided in many ways, but we should learn to respect each one of our culture and tradition.
If we educated people are going to fight with each other , then think about uneducated people , as younger souls of this country , we should make our country to be proud.
Be an indian.
IIT Madras is one of the best institue in india.

its not just one of the best in India - it is widely known that the curriculum of iit is so tough that students that ass out from here and join ivy league universities in the US find the course work in those universities a CAKE WALK!!!
