Lake Padden

Smallish lake on the South end of Bellingham. It offers a swimming area with a swim-out dock that, on those rare warm Bellingham summer days, can be pretty crowded.

It is most popular for its trail. At just under 2.5 miles, it's used by bikers, runners, walkers, and anyone in between. The Western Washington University Cross-Country team has its home meets here, as well.

In addition to the main lake trail, there are miles and miles of single track trails that one can find at almost any portion of the main trail to hop on and get lost in.

Also at Lake Padden - a dog park, tennis courts, playground, basketball courts, softball fields.
