Blokhoeve was supposed to be a mixed income family area. So far things have not worked out as planned. While most areas enjoy a shopping center, good roads and large open play areas, Blokhoeve is lacking. There is one road leading into the area and no extra road out, just case of emergency. the city has plans to improve this but work has been slow.
The Villa area is still not built, this could be due to a lack of interest.
When asked if there are plans for a shopping center to be built in the area, people were told there was a lack of interest to invest in the area. People from Blokhoeve were also told there would be no special walkers bridge to the closest shopping center. The reason is because people in the other area rejected the idea.
