I've seen sunrises, night launches, and John Glenn's return to space from the beach across the street.

The original Cocoa Beach Ron Jon's was in the strip mall across from Alma's @ 3rd St North. Ron and his 1st wife and children lived in the back of the store. His wife and my mother-in-law were friends and my brother-in-law, Mike was Ron's first employee. The first three surfboards were built in my inlaws garage. Mike also worked in the Ship Bottom store in N.J. before serving in the Army and going to Viet Nam. Where Ron Jon's is currently located was a one story strip mall. The store was small and it still a real surf shop and the big draw was three T-Shirts for $10 and real ship hatch covers for $25 to be coverted into tables.
