Alampur

This place has a temple of JOGULAMBA, one of the sacred eihteen SHAKTI PEETHAMs. Lying along the banks of river TUNGABHADRA, which flows here in a northerly direction(UTTARA VAHINI), the place is also known as Dakshina Kashi. There is even a DASASWAMEWDH GHAT, as at the more famous KASHi along the banks of river Ganga.

Here are the temples of LORD SHIVA named NAVABRAMHA ALAYALU in telugu which meant nine temples of brahma. It has been named as they are put by bramha for lord shiva. One must really visit the place during MAHASIVARATHRI. But unfortunately this is the place really underdeveloped.
